The Chinese Annual Conference of Singapore publishes an up-to-date funeral ritual kept in line with the Bible, to strengthen the spirit, and yet be sensitive to the setting and circumstances. This edition offers a clear presentation of the Christian perspective of death and to reaffirm the theology of Christian funeral rites. It takes into account the Singapore Chinese social and cultural context where possible. Pre-believers will get to know the Christian view of life and death, and also appreciate the respect shown for Chinese customs and sentiments.

This edition also offers a rich collection of pastoral resources and reference materials. All these provide both pastors and members of bereaved families various forms of funeral rites and rituals appropriate for different situations.
